News feeds allow you to see when websites have added new content. You can get the latest news in one place, as soon as it's published, without having to visit the websites you have subscribed to the feed from.

What's RSS?

RSS (Really Simple Syndication or Rich Site Summary) is a group of Web feed formats used to publish notifications of updated content on a web site including blog entries, news headlines or podcasts.

How do I use the feeds on NWIITT.org.uk?

The first thing you will need is software capable of reading the news feeds - generally referred to as a Feed Reader or a News Feed Reader. This software checks the feeds and lets you read any new articles that have been added. There is a wide variety of software available for this purpose. Some browsers provide the functionality to read feeds as standard but also full downloadable applications are available.

Check out the following software, according to your operating system:

Windows

Mac

Cross Platform Browsers

Web Based Services

Browser and web based solutions have the benefit of allowing you to access your RSS Feeds from any computer and any location. Although some of the installable applications provide an online service in addition to their core functionality.
